Every time I go to church, I always pray and sing on my way, immersing myself in the spirit of worship and reflection that prepares my heart for the service ahead.
This routine has become a cherished part of my Sundays, a moment to connect with God before entering the sacred space of the church community. However, Sunday was different from any other Sunday I had experienced before...
As I was driving along the familiar route to the church, a sudden and mighty rushing wind swept through my car, catching me off guard. It was as if the very air around me had changed, filled with an energy that was both exhilarating and awe-inspiring.
I instinctively turned my head to the right, and to my astonishment, I beheld an extraordinary sight: an army of angelic beings, their presence commanding and ethereal, marching alongside the road.
They were adorned in gleaming white armor that shimmered in the sunlight, and each one carried a perfectly square white backpack, a detail that struck me as both peculiar and significant.
The entire army was dressed in resplendent white and gold, colors that spoke to me on a spiritual level. White, in its purity, symbolizes the holiness and righteousness that God embodies, while gold represents the glory and majesty of His kingdom.
In that moment, I felt an overwhelming sense that God was orchestrating something monumental, something that would change the atmosphere not just for me, but for the entire congregation waiting at the church.
One angel, at the forefront of this divine army, turned and locked eyes with me. His gaze was penetrating yet comforting, and with a voice that resonated with authority and peace, he proclaimed,
"We are sent to preserve and fight for the churches, large and small! Do not be afraid."
His words echoed in my heart, filling me with a profound assurance. I was not afraid, but I certainly was stunned and captivated by the surreal nature of this encounter. As I glanced into the rearview mirror, I realized that the army was still advancing, an unending procession of celestial beings that seemed to stretch infinitely along the right side of the road.
Upon arriving at the church, I stepped inside and immediately sensed a remarkable shift in the atmosphere.
The very air was charged with divine energy, and I knew that something extraordinary was taking place within the walls of our small congregation. That Sunday, our church was filled with extravagant worship, and the anointing was undeniably strong.
The presence of God enveloped us, and I could see the impact it was having on the people around me. Individuals were experiencing healing, both physically and spiritually, and the joy in the room was nothing short of glorious.
I noticed a remarkable shift in the way people were praising the Lord; there was an increased fervor, a heightened sense of anticipation and expectation that filled the space.
The congregation seemed to be more alive than ever, as if they were responding to the unseen force that was drawing them closer to the heart of God.
As I stepped up to the pulpit, the weight of the moment bore down on me, and I felt compelled to share what I had witnessed on my journey to church.
As I recounted the vision of the angelic army and the message they had delivered, the congregation erupted in applause, in adoration of Jesus.
It was a powerful moment of collective worship and acknowledgment of God's presence among us. I am sharing this experience because it serves as a reminder of a few crucial truths that we must hold close to our hearts. The Purpose of that Angelic Army? Let remember what Angels do...
Hebrews 1:14 describes angels as "ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation". They offer guidance, comfort, and practical help to people on earth (Psalm 91:11–12)
